Shelby was born and raised in Hannibal and has been coaching for nearly 15 years. His passion for basketball began at a very young age. He played youth basketball, AAU Basketball, and he was able to experience Pirate basketball, at a state level, his senior year in High School.

Shelby has three children and has enjoyed coaching each of their teams in both basketball and soccer. He is excited for this year's Hooks season, he enjoys seeing the boys have fun and make progress weekly. Shelby would love to see the kids, and the community, get excited about Hannibal basketball and its future.
